Directions to Lake Placid and the Merrill L. Thomas, Inc. office (2469 Main St. Lake Placid, NY, 12946)
For door-to-door directions, we recommend Yahoo maps, as it is current with 911 address changes in the area. Check-in packages need to picked up at our office therefore the following are directions from various destinations to our office. The check-in package will contain a map from our office directly to the property.
From the New York/New Jersey area:
Take Route 287 North toward Albany, NY. Take Exit 24 for I-87 North (Adirondack Northway). Follow I-87 to Exit 30. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 9. Follow Route 9 (which turns into Route 73 after 2 miles) for approximately 30 miles. When you reach Lake Placid and come to the stop light, turn left onto Main Street. Continue on Main Street to the Merrill L. Thomas office at 2469 Main Street. From this direction it is on the right-hand side of the street, and directly across the street from the Bass, Izod and Van Heusen outlets, in between the Lake Placid Public Library and the GAP outlet.
From Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Watertown:
Take I-90 (NYS Thruway) East to Exit 36 (Syracuse). Take I-81 North to Watertown. Follow Route 3 to Saranac Lake. Then follow Route 86 East to Lake Placid. Route 86 will become Main Street. Bear right onto Main Street at the bottom of hill in the village of Lake Placid. Continue to the Merrill L. Thomas office at 2469 Main Street, on the left side of the street. It is directly across from the Bass, Izod and Van Heusen outlets, in between GAP outlet and the Lake Placid Public Library.
From Montreal:
Take Route 15 South to Champlain Crossing, connecting with I-87 South. Take Exit 34 West, following Route 9N until the intersection of Route 9N and Route 86. Turn right onto Route 86, and follow this to Whiteface Mountain (Wilmington) and Lake Placid. Route 86 will turn into Main Street, and the Merrill L. Thomas office can be found at 2469 Main Street, directly across the street from the Bass, Izod and Van Heusen outlets, in between the Lake Placid Public Library and GAP outlet.
From Boston, Springfield, Hartford:
Take Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Albany, NY. Take the exit for I-787 North toward Troy/Cohoes. Connect with Route 7 West to I-87 North. Take I-87 to Exit 30.
